Stamps and rare document investments

What makes a stamp a good investment? The answer is quite simple - the item must represent both quality and rarity. A rare stamp that does not have quality is not a good investment, unless there are only two or three examples known. We also recommend classic covers as an investment, i.e. the use of classic stamps on their original wrappers or envelopes. Every cover is effectively unique, and illustrates the stamp being used for the purpose for which it was issued - paying for the carriage of the letter through the postal system. An increasing number of collectors collect "postal history" as well as stamps, the key again is to buy only the best quality possible.

At Stamp Invest we specialise in the early classic stamps of the world, and we look forward to putting our expertise at your disposal. Two of our favourite stamps are the Penny Black and Two Penny Blue, issued in 1840 in Great Britain - the world's very first stamps. The quality of the engraving and production of these stamps is quite outstanding, inspiring and influencing the design of the first stamps of so many other countries, and they are worthy of inclusion in any collection or investment holding.   Illustrated on this website you will find a selection of stamps and covers that we recommend for either collector or investor. http://www.stamp-investco.com/
